Built to Last: Our Project Legacy

Notre Dame Stadium | 1929 - 1930

Nearly 100 years ago, Osborn Engineering helped create one of college football's most celebrated stadiums.

Selected for their track record designing landmark venues including Michigan Stadium, Yankee Stadium, and Fenway Park, Osborn delivered a 54,660-seat concrete stadium built in just six months of above-ground construction.¹ The first game was played on October 4, 1930,² with the project involving more than two million bricks and over 300 workers on site daily.

OSPORTS Wired

The New Normal in Sports Facilities

In this edition of OSPORTS Wired, we explore how sports facilities are evolving into flexible, mixed-use destinations that serve as catalysts for community engagement and economic development.

Through projects like the MOSI Fieldhouse in Tampa and the Liberty Launch Academy Athletic Center in Washington, we highlight our approach to designing venues that support year-round use and integrate thoughtfully into their broader contexts.
