OSPORTS provided design services for a 28,380 SF training facility expansion for the Cleveland Browns. The three-story addition replaces a former multipurpose room and features a new weight room with garage doors that open to the adjacent Field House, creating seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity.

 

The first floor of the new addition has a brand-new weight room with stair towers and four garage doors that open to the weight room, located at the edges of the fieldhouse. The weight room includes a medicine ball wall, free weights, and a fuel station offering customized post-workout food and beverages, towels, and cabinetry.

 

The second floor features two walk-through wall rooms, one for offense and one for defense, which, if combined, would cover the full width of the field. Additional amenities on the second floor include a player’s lounge with a golf simulator and storage, and cardio rooms with views of the practice field and space for small drills.

 

The third floor includes hospitality and observation spaces overlooking the practice fields, while a covered outdoor rooftop deck provides an additional venue for viewing team activities and hosting guests.

 

The structural design incorporates an increased slab thickness to support heavy sleds and ensure integrity. The design includes ceiling and lighting configurations to accommodate the flight of footballs during drills. The facility also includes Cleveland Browns-branded squat racks and floor platforms equipped with form trackers to monitor player performance.
