1922 Club at Ohio Stadium

The Ohio State University | Columbus , Ohio
Ohio Stadium, affectionately known as “The Horseshoe” or “The Shoe,” has been a landmark of history and tradition since its construction in 1922. OSPORTS and HNTB are designing the 12,000 SF 1922 Club, a premium venue within the stadium that honors its heritage through 1920’s speakeasy elements like entry details, corbels, arches, and stained glass.

Based off an earlier concept by OSPORTS and HNTB, the design blends Art Deco influences, leather finishes, and references to the stadium’s horseshoe shape, featuring a private entry, host area, elegant bar, restrooms, food and beverage spaces, kitchen, elevator access, and retail space. The Club also includes four semi-private luxurious dining rooms that can seat up to 10 guests. Nestled on the east side of the stadium, the 1922 Club is a venue that transports guests to a bygone era that pays homage to Ohio Stadium’s illustrious history.

Amidst the flickering glow of vintage lighting and first-class amenities, the venue provides a space for fans and guests to enjoy their game day experience and access exclusive events throughout the year. Designed to accommodate approximately 750 patrons, the 1922 Club combines modern luxury with historic charm for game days, events, and daily operations.

The all-inclusive space will have limited memberships and will provide an upscale food and beverage option on game days. On non-game days, this space will transform into the members-only 1922 Club restaurant.
