Indoor Fieldhouse at MOSI

Tampa Sports Authority | Tampa , Florida
Tampa Sports Authority and Hillsborough County selected OSPORTS to lead the design of the new Fieldhouse at MOSI. The MOSI Fieldhouse project focuses on the design and construction of a multi-purpose indoor sports and event facility located at the Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) campus. This facility will serve as a central hub for community recreation, educational programs, and special events, offering adaptable spaces including 12 courts for basketball, volleyball, and other indoor activities.

The scope includes architectural design, structural engineering, HVAC and lighting systems, and the integration of sustainable building practices. The primary objectives are to deliver a modern, flexible facility that meets community and educational needs, incorporate energy-efficient systems and sustainable materials, and ensure compliance with local building codes and ADA accessibility standards. Key deliverables include completed architectural and engineering plans, construction of the fieldhouse structure and interior finishes, and installation of sports flooring, lighting, and HVAC systems.

Early planning and feasibility studies began in 2023, with OSPORTS formally selected to lead design in October 2025. Construction is projected to be completed in 2028.
