MLS’s Philadelphia Union and their Youth Academy programs commissioned OSPORTS to design a new world-class training complex and tournament sportsplex. The new sportsplex includes a total of 7 outdoor fields (4 natural grass and 3 synthetic turf) with one of the grass fields designed as a competition stadium for their home MLS Next Pro matches. The Philadelphia Union and the City of Chester will now be able to host youth sports tournaments and attract more people to the Chester waterfront on a regular basis, not just on MLS match days.

In addition to the expanded field complex, a new full-size indoor field was constructed at the facility. This indoor training field will allow the Union to practice indoors during inclement weather and to host a multitude of indoor youth and community events. Linking all this together is a new 40,000 SF support building that will house locker rooms, athletic training facilities, fitness and weight room, coaches’ offices, administration offices, and cafe for public and private use.
