OSPORTS + Osborn provided a facility condition assessment for MAPFRE Stadium, current home to Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew SC. The Columbus Crew is currently building a new stadium and want to determine what renovations may be necessary to ensure that the old facility (MAPFRE) remains a viable revenue generating stadium after the team relocates to the new stadium. The assessment included architectural, structural, MEP, fire protection and life safety disciplines. Additionally our sub-consultant Lerch Bates will evaluate the condition of the two hydraulic elevators at the stadium. The OSPORTS architectural team also performed a survey of the stadium to identify issues that are not in compliance with the latest ADA requirements.
