Ohio Stadium & Campus Wi-Fi

The Ohio State University | Columbus , Ohio
OSPORTS + Osborn provided Technology engineering and Architectural, Civil, Structural, and MEP services for the strategic design, coordination and implementation of a campus Wi-Fi system to deliver robust service to the greater Ohio State educational and medical campuses (Columbus and regional) to service students, faculty, staff and outside customers and vendors. The installation of this system allows for targeted areas of academic and student life to receive extensive upgrades, including the indoor and outdoor areas around academic and residence halls, healthcare campuses, regional campuses (Lima, Mansfield, Marion, Newark and Wooster), and athletic venues (The Ohio Stadium and The Jerome Schottenstein Center).

In addition to the technology and Wi-Fi design, MEPSCA services involved repair to wall and ceiling finishes, repairs to facade and roofs, construction or modification of technology closets to support Wi-Fi upgrades, repairs to lawn, landscaping, sidewalk and pavement impacted by Wi-Fi installation, review of buildings’ structural systems as required, and mechanical and electrical design of HVAC and lighting systems in new or existing technology closets.
