Ohio Stadium and Woody Hayes Athletic Center Field Replacements
The Ohio State University | Columbus , OH
OSPORTS and Osborn Engineering led the design efforts to replace Ohio Stadium’s game field (71,498 SF) and the indoor field at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center (87,806 SF).
OSPORTS/Osborn Engineering worked directly with The Ohio State University Buckeyes Athletics program to select a new state-of-the-art synthetic turf playing field system and underlying shock attenuation padding, as well as organizing biometric and field performance closeout testing at both locations. OSPORTS/Osborn also vetted multiple high performance synthetic turf playing field systems on the marketplace.
Special attention was given to the OSU branding elements in the endzone, mid-field, and kickoff areas on both fields, ensuring their precise placement and adherence to OSU branding standards. All field markings were aligned with NCAA football regulations and rules, guaranteeing compliance for collegiate-level competitions.
